Echo Park is a walkable and historic L.A. neighborhood featuring craftsman style homes, modern architecture, good schools, and pretty parks. Located next to Silver Lake, the neighborhood also has a creative edge and appeals to the hipster community. Home to Dodger’s Stadium and the beautiful Echo Park Lake, the area is perhaps most well-known for its vintage shops, eclectic bar and restaurant scene, artistic community, to-die-for taco trucks, and authentic neighborhood vibe.

Echo Park Lake
One of L.A.’s most beautiful outdoor spaces, Echo Park Lake underwent a two-year, $45-million makeover that transformed the historic lake into a family-friendly destination with expansive views of downtown L.A.’s skyline. For locals, it’s the ideal place to spend a weekend afternoon – walking around the lake, peddle boating through the water, doing yoga on the grass, or having a picnic with friends.

Carroll Avenue
One of the oldest streets in Los Angeles is located right near Echo Park. Carroll Avenue was considered to be the Beverly Hills of the 19th century, and the current owners of these charming homes have restored them to all of their original glory. Take a step back in time and marvel at the beautiful Victorian manors, colorful stained glass windows, and intricate architectural details that make this street so very special to Echo Park residents.

Square One at the Boathouse
751 Echo Park Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90026
This beautiful old boathouse on Echo Park Lake is the perfect spot for a tasty bite. Breakfast is served all day, along with house-made sweets, hot or cold-brewed teas, homemade lemonade, and Intelligentsia coffee. The menu is vast and has something for everyone, but we recommend the grass-fed burger at lunch and the brioche French toast for breakfast!

Dinette
1606 Sunset Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90026
This small sidewalk eatery offers an eclectic menu that appeals to L.A.’s hipster and foodie crowd. With a laidback, easygoing vibe, it’s the perfect place in Echo Park for incredible comfort food, or just to grab a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. We recommend trying out local favorites, like the avocado toast, waffle with poached egg and bacon, and savory breakfast pizza. Top it off with one of Dinette’s house-made sodas, and you’ve got one of the best meals the eastside has to offer.

Masa
1800 Sunset Boulevard
Los Angeles, CA 90026
Believe it or not, you can get authentic deep dish pizza in Los Angeles – at Masa. The owners take Chicago style pizza very seriously. The dough is baked fresh daily in their bakery, sauces and dressings are made from scratch, and the restaurant only uses organic, local produce – along with imported Chicago favorites like Scala’s Authentic Hot Giardiniera. And take our word for it – save room for the bread pudding.
